Local pickup

Where do you pick up shears locally?

We do salon pickup in Vernal, Roosevelt, and the rest of the Uintah Basin, and we’re across the Wasatch Front a couple of times a month. Not local? Text In works anywhere in the U.S.

Shipping and turnaround

How long does it take?

10 business days, counted from the day your package arrives at ShearIQ. Shipping time to us and back to you isn’t included in the 10 business days.

Is shipping included?

Yes. Your price includes a prepaid shipping label. 1 pair $65, 2 pairs $110, 3 pairs $150.

Do you take shears from outside Utah?

Yes. Text In works anywhere in the U.S. Text 385-288-1080 to get started.

How should I pack my shears?

Wrap each pair separately with the shears closed and the tips protected. Don’t tape the blades. Fill the empty space so nothing rattles, and put the prepaid label on the outside of the box. See packing steps.

Lost or damaged packages

What if my package is lost or damaged in shipping?

Every package ships with tracking on the prepaid label, both on the way to us and on the way back to you.

If a package is lost or damaged in transit, we’ll work with the carrier and with you to make it right.

Every box includes $200 of shipping insurance both ways. Shipping a higher-value pair? Just let us know when you text in and we’ll add more coverage.

What we sharpen

What do you sharpen?

Barber shears, haircutting shears, salon shears, and pet grooming shears.

What if my pair is damaged?

Some pairs come in with more than normal wear, like a chipped blade, a bent tip, or a crack. If a sharpening can’t bring yours back, we won’t just send it back to you. We’ll reach out, tell you what we’re seeing, and work out the next step with you before we touch anything.

Yes. I trained hands-on with Bonnie Megowan at Bonika Shears in Loganville, Georgia, and I’m a certified Bonika Shears Shear Edge Technician. I’m also a member of the International Scissor Sharpeners Association (ISSA). You can see the photos on my founder page.
